Public visibility or wealth alone does not mean that permanent personal protection is required. Relevant factors include specific threats, your exposure, journeys, appointments and personal circumstances. A structured assessment helps distinguish occasional support from a longer-term protection assignment.

Which warning signs deserve attention?

• •Publication of private addresses, travel plans or information about family members.
• •Public appearances or professional disputes involving specific security concerns.
• •Travel to places with a changing security situation or special transfer requirements.

What measures may be appropriate?

Depending on the situation, a planned secure transfer, support at individual appointments, digital safeguards or a coordinated protection plan may be sufficient. The scope and duration should have clear reasons and be reviewed regularly. A particular job title does not automatically determine a protection level.

Prepare for an initial consultation

Record relevant incidents with dates, upcoming appointments and your main questions. Initially provide only contact details; discuss confidential information through an agreed communication channel. Ask about responsibilities, availability, procedures and costs before commissioning services.
